I think these are wild strawberries growing in my front yard. As they could also very easily be something poisonous, I certainly did not sample them.
And somehow, Anne climbed up the frame and into the roof of the carport. I'd rather not have to call the fire department to ask for assistance with this one.

Love the photos! Oh, and a quick search of whether wild strawberries are safe to consume turned up a lot of contradictory advice. Thank you, Internet. : )
The wild strawberries look wonderful; I didn't realise there was any danger in eating them.
I have those strawberries all over my yard too. I don't know if they are poisonous or not, but since I am still here typing this they can't be very poisonous. They are not very tasty however.
Wow, wild strawberries! All of the fun, none of the work!
no expert, but I would inquiere further on the strawberries - most likely, they are edible...
Anne?
will tell you what the firefighters told me when my Alex stayed two days on top a tall, tall tree:
Have you ever seen a dead cat hanging of a tree?
When it gets hungry, really hungry the cat will find a way to get down... :)
I know, it is very distressing - for both of ya
Ceiling Kitteh is always watching......
I love strawberries - can they be poisonous. I would have eaten them....
Wild strawberries... I'd say go for them. I like Anne's adventurous spirit, though I hope she has enjoyed her holiday and has returned safely home.
As a former resident of Canada I can assure you...those ARE wild strawberries (& very, very edible!)
